Lyk Carpet

With her studio Lyk Carpet, Mareike Lienau creates site-specific textile installations. She uses wool as a medium that connects architecture, the object, and people. Her focus is on spaces that evoke resonance, provide orientation, and possess a quiet, enduring presence. The pieces are designed in Berlin and crafted in close collaboration with artisanal workshops in Nepal under fair working conditions.

Mareike Lienau entwickelt mit ihrem Studio Lyk Carpet ortsbezogene textile Raumobjekte. Wolle dient ihr dabei als verbindendes Medium zwischen Architektur, Objekt und Mensch. Ihr Fokus sind Räume mit Resonanz, Orientierung und einer stillen, nachhaltigen Präsenz. Die Objekte werden in Berlin designt und in enger Abstimmung, unter fairen Bedingungen von handwerklichen Betrieben in Nepal gefertigt.
